Olive E. Clapp
Olive E. Clapp, of Main St., East Windsor, passed away Sunday (March 9, 2003) after a long illness. Olive was born in the East Windsor Hill section of South Windsor, the daughter of John S. Clapp Sr. and Olive Pitkin Clapp. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of South Windsor and was a life member of Hope Chapter O.E.S. Olive had been employed for many years at Sage & Allen. Olive is survived by a sister, Dorothy Clapp Martyn of West Suffield; four nieces, Linda Stroud of Kingston, Ontario, Barbara Kawliche of Lewiston, ME, Jane Archibald of East Granby and Frances Becker of Northampton, MA; a sister-in-law, Alfreda Clapp of East Windsor; nine grand nieces and grand nephews; and several cousins. Olive was predeceased by a brother, J. Selden Clapp Jr. Funeral services and burial are private. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. J.M. Bassinger Funeral Home, East Windsor, is assisting with arrangements.
